The Cut is a small community by design, with each new member selected by existing members. These guidelines exist to keep it that way.
Your profile must be an honest representation of you. Use recent photos. Don't misrepresent your age, appearance, location, or identity. Fake profiles will be permanently removed.
The Cut facilitates connections, but we cannot verify the identity or intentions of every member. Exercise the same caution you would meeting anyone new. Meet in public places for the first time, let someone know where you are going, and trust your instincts. The Cut is not responsible for the actions of its members outside the App.
You're here to meet people, not to judge or demean them. Harassment, threats, unsolicited explicit content, and discriminatory language are not tolerated — in messages, on your profile, or anywhere else.
What happens on The Cut stays on The Cut. Do not share, screenshot, or distribute another member's photos, profile, or personal information outside the App. This is one of our most important rules. Members caught violating it will be permanently removed.
Our shot clock system exists for a reason. If you match with someone, make a genuine effort to connect or let the match expire gracefully. Leaving matches to expire intentionally and repeatedly is inconsiderate and inconsistent with the spirit of the community.
The Cut is for personal connections only. Solicitation, spam, advertising, and any form of commercial activity are prohibited.
If a member behaves in a way that violates these guidelines, report it to us at report@datethecut.com. We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly. Accounts found in violation are subject to immediate termination.
Violations of these guidelines may result in account suspension or permanent termination without refund. The Cut reserves the right to make enforcement decisions at its sole discretion.
These guidelines exist to protect everyone here — including you. Thank you for being part of The Cut.
